Disneyland Paris Halloween

When you think about all things Disneyland Paris Fall, you can’t help but thinking about Halloween.

However, the Halloween season is much shorter at Disneyland Paris than Disneyland (in California and Walt Disney World).

Sadly, Halloween celebrations don’t start in August at Disneyland Paris.

They make us wait until October (celebrating Halloween at the appropriately scheduled time? Outrageous, right?! 😂).

In 2025, the official Disneyland Paris Halloween dates are Wednesday, 1st October 2025 – Sunday, 2nd November 2025.

Here is what you can expect during the Halloween season:

  • Mickey’s Halloween Celebration parade
  • Meet character such as Captain Hook and Maleficent
  • Extended hours on October 31st
  • Halloween-inspired snacks and meals (like burgers and desserts)
  • Halloween merchandise
  • Trick or treating (a new Halloween experience in 2025, with more details to come).
  • Halloween decorations at the on-site Disneyland Paris resorts.

Ticket Prices, Accommodation, and Travel Tips for Autumn

Understanding Ticket and Hotel Prices

Ever get hit with that “wait, why is this so expensive?” moment when checking Disney prices?

I always say a Disneyland Paris holiday (particularly, a package) is either outrageously expensive or surprisingly reasonable – for the same hotel and the same number of nights – depending on the dates.

Summer (and a lot of Spring) are especially brutal if you’re after deals.

However, September (and earlier October) often offer some of the best value. Kids are back in school, the Halloween crowd hasn’t landed yet, and hotel rates dip.

(Side note: be sure to avoid October half term if you want the best deals and lower crowds at Disneyland Paris).

Autumn prices are usually higher during Halloween celebrations, but as usual, you’ll often find more reasonable prices on weekdays, so if you can avoid weekends, it will be a more budget friendly option.

That being said, if you really want to visit at a more expensive time in Halloween, you can always price out off-site hotels – which can sometimes be cheaper than a Disneyland Paris on-site hotel. Just keep in mind that you won’t receive certain perks, like Extra Magic Time (where on-site guests and Gold Annual Passholders can access the Disneyland Paris parks one hour before other guests).

What is Disneyland Paris like in August?

  • August in Disneyland Paris doesn’t feel like Fall. It still feels like summer. It’s often busy with families who are taking their kids away during the summer break (particularly for Europeans).
  • Prices are usually HIGH because of the demand, so it’s one of the worst times to visit if you’re looking for a budget trip.
  • It can get surprisingly hot. I’ve visited Disneyland Paris twice in August, and was surprised by how warm it can get (as I often visit in the freezing winter). The average temperature is 25 degrees Celsius (but it can definitely go higher than this.

Is September a good month for Disneyland Paris?

  • Prices are usually a lot lower in August (especially weekdays for the last 2-3 weeks of September).
  • Halloween celebrations have’t officially started yet, but if you’re not bothered about this, it can be a great time to visit.
  • Crowd levels are typically lower, which will normally lead to more bearable wait times than you’ll find in August.
  • The temperature drops a few degrees celsius to 22 degrees on average – which can be more enjoyable for long park days!

What is Disneyland Paris like in October?

  • Halloween is here for the ENTIRE month of October! This means decorations, parades, merch, and more!

In 2025, Halloween doesn’t finish until November! Sunday, November 2nd to be exact. After that, we transition into the Christmas, Winter season (Christmas officially starts at Disneyland Paris on Saturday, November 8th 2025).

Making the Most of Your Visit

  • Download the official Disneyland Paris app before you go. It’s a real lifesaver for checking wait times, mobile ordering food, checking wait times and more!
  • Maximize seasonal events – If you’re visiting in October – early November, check make a rough plan of the Halloween attractions/festivities what you want to see and do!
  • What to wear in Disneyland Paris in Autumn? – When choosing a Disneyland Paris outfit in Fall, think layers. Autumn weather flips between chilly mornings, mild afternoons, some rain etc. Pack a light jacket and perhaps a poncho, just in case.
