List of Hollywood Studios Shows
1. Beauty & The Beast Live on Stage
Location: Sunset Boulevard
Step into the enchanting world of Beauty and the Beast Live on Stage at Disney World! This captivating, 30-minute, live musical performance brings the timeless tale of Belle and the Beast to life in an immersive and magical way. You’ll be swept away by the captivating music, dazzling costumes, and mesmerizing choreography as the classic story unfolds on stage.
The only bad thing about this show is that it’s outside. The Floridian humidity is the worst character in the show – even worse than Gaston!
But if you can stand the heat (after all, there you can sit under shelter with fans) or you’re visiting during a cooler intime of year, this is a must-watch show.
2. Disney Junior Play and Dance!
Location: Animation Courtyard
Did you think that Hollywood Studios was only good for older kids and adults? This 10-minute show will prove otherwise!
At the Disney Junior Play and Dance show, little ones can dance and see their favourite Disney Junior characters. Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Doc McStuffins, Vampirina and other beloved characters come to life on stage, encouraging kids to sing, dance, and play along.
The colourful and engaging performance will have children of all ages clapping their hands, tapping their feet, and joining in on the excitement.
With catchy tunes, adorable costumes, and plenty of audience participation, Disney Junior Play and Dance is a delightful experience that will leave kids beaming with joy.
3. For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration
Location: Echo Lake
Step into the world of Arendelle as Anna, Elsa, and Kristoff take the stage for a heartwarming and hilarious retelling of the beloved story. Join in on the fun as the royal historians guide the audience through the magical journey, encouraging everyone to sing along to the iconic songs from the hit film.
The songs and characters are just as amazing as you’d expect. But the unexpected humour from the narrators is really what takes this show to the next level. It really is one of the funniest shows (for both adults and kids) in Disney World – up there with Monsters Inc Laugh Floor and the Country Bear Musical Jamboree in Magic Kingdom.
From “Let It Go” to “Do You Want to Build a Snowman,” this irresistible sing-along will have you and your family belting out your favourite tunes in true Frozen style.
Â
4. Green Army Drum Corps
Location: Toy Story Land
Everybody’s favourite green toy soldiers gather throughout the day at Toy Story Land to showcase their high-energy drumming and captivating performances.
The Green Army Drum Corps will have you marching to the beat of their drums and cheering for more.
5. Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular!
Location: Echo Lake
Prepare for an action-packed adventure with Indiana Jones⢠Epic Stunt Spectacular!
Step into the thrilling world of Indiana Jones, as you witness jaw-dropping stunts, heart-pounding action, and movie magic, come to life right before your eyes.
Immerse yourself in the excitement and wonder of Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular that will leave you on the edge of your seat!
6. The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure
Location: Animation Courtyard
âThe Little Mermaid â A Musical Adventureâ at Disneyâs Hollywood Studios is a compact, high-energy love letter to the movie that still hits way harder than youâd expect for a short stage show.
You get the big songs you actually care about, like âPart of Your World,â âPoor Unfortunate Souls,â and âUnder the Sea,â backed by strong live vocals, colorful sets, and some clever puppetry that makes the undersea world feel surprisingly alive.
Whilst this has been marketed as a new show at Hollywood Studios, it is actually a new and improved version of The Voyage of the Little Mermaid (which ran from 1992 to 2020 in the same theater).
7. Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After
Location: Sunset BoulevardÂ
This new show that only opened in summer 2025 at Disneyâs Hollywood Studios pulls together a lineup of classic bad guys and girls, with flashy projections and loud music.
On paper, that sounds fun, especially for those of us who grew up loving Maleficent, Cruella de Vil, and the rest of the infamous bunch. But the show feels like a rushed mashup instead of a strong headliner.
The story is thin, with the âvillains deserve betterâ feeling hard to believe.
As someone who generally enjoys all the shows at Hollywood Studios, this one caught me off guard, because it feels low quality – especially for a park full of amazing shows.
On the bright side, it replaced Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy, which generally had low attendance. So if this show continues to bring in more crowds, it should help (albeit, only a little) with the capacity issue at Hollywood Studios.
8. Vacation Fun – An Original Animated Short with Mickey & Minnie
Location: Echo Lake
Embark on a whimsical animated adventure with “Vacation Fun – An Original Animated Short with Mickey & Minnie”. Join the iconic duo, Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse, as they take you on a delightful journey through their most memorable vacation moments.
It isn’t 3D. It doesn’t have any stunts or huge musical numbers. But, it’s charming and cute.
Is it the end of the world if you miss it? No. But it is a fun animated cartoon that will only take up 10 minutes of your time.
9. Walt Disney Presents
Location: Animation Courtyard
Discover the fascinating legacy of Walt Disney at Walt Disney Presents. Step into a captivating journey that celebrates the life and achievements of the visionary man behind the magic. Explore an engaging exhibit that sheds light on Walt’s incredible creative process and the history of Disney.Â
After that, watch the 15-minute documentary, Walt Disney: One Manâs Dream – to find out more about Walt.
For history disnerds (like me), it’s one of the most interesting attractions in Hollywood Studios – and Disney World in general.Â
10. Wonderful World of Animation
Location: Hollywood Boulevard
Be prepared to be dazzled by the “Wonderful World of Animation” at Disney World!
This 12-minute spectacular nighttime show takes you on an enchanting journey through the magical world of Disney animation.
Watch in awe as the iconic Chinese Theater at Disney’s Hollywood Studios comes to life with stunning projections, vibrant colours, and heartwarming scenes from classic, new and underrated Disney films.
11. Fantasmic!
Location: Sunset Boulevard
Fantasmic! at Disney World is a 29-minute, awe-inspiring nighttime spectacular that brings Disney stories to life in a mesmerizing fusion of water, lights, and fireworks.
Join Mickey Mouse on a magical adventure through his dreams. Watch as he encounters beloved Disney characters and villains in an epic battle of good versus evil.
Fantasmic! is like no other nighttime show – at Disney World or any other theme park (except Disneyland in California, where you can find an arguably better version of Fantasmic!).
12. Disney Movie Magic
Location: Hollywood Boulevard
Disney Movie Magic is a projection show on the Chinese Theater that celebrates live-action Disney films, with clips from favorites like Indiana Jones lighting up the park after dark.
13. First Order Searches for the Resistance
Location: Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge
First Order Searches for the Resistance is a short atmospheric street show where stormtroopers patrol and bark orders around Batuu, and it does a nice job making Galaxyâs Edge feel tense and âoccupied.â
14. Hollygroove Swingin’
Location: Hollywood Boulevard
Hollygroove Swinginâ is a high-energy street party-style show with live music.
Like many shows, on this list, it takes place several times per day (see the My Disney Experience app for the correct times on your visit).
15. Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! at Disney Jollywood Nights
Location: Hollywood Boulevard
Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! at Disney Jollywood Nights packs fireworks, projections, and holiday music into one nighttime show.
Whilst I would argue that it’s a disappointing nighttime show by Disney World standards (okay fireworks and storyline. Nothing to write home about), it’s worth seeing if you’re going to the party anyways.
Just be aware that it feels like more of an underwhelming Universal nighttime show, than one created and held by Disney.

16. The Record Setters
Location: Hollywood Boulevard
The Record Setters at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is a live, high-energy show where performers hype up big wins, big moments, and over-the-top ârecordâ achievements!
17. Sunset Seasons Greetings
Location: Sunset Boulevard
Sunset Seasons Greetings at Disneyâs Hollywood Studios turns the Hollywood Tower Hotel into a giant, festive projection screen.
18. Whatâs This? Tim Burtonâs The Nightmare Before Christmas Sing-Along at Disney Jollywood Nights
Location: Echo Lake
âWhatâs This? Tim Burtonâs The Nightmare Before Christmas Sing-Alongâ at Disney Jollywood Nights in Disneyâs Hollywood Studios is a live show where Jack Skellingtonâs story plays out on screen with lyrics so you can sing along.
List of Thrilling Hollywood Studios Rides and Attractions
Hollywood Studios is known for its iconic thrill rides, and they do not disappoint!
1. Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith
Height Restriction:Â 48in (122cm) +
Highlights:Â Loops, “limo” roller coaster in the dark, Aerosmith music
Location: Sunset Boulevard
Get ready to rock out and experience high-speed thrills with Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith at Disney World!
Join the legendary rock band Aerosmith on a wild backstage adventure as you’re whisked away in a super-stretch limo to their concert.
Hold on tight as you launch from 0 to 57 mph in just 2.8 seconds! There are 3 loops (1 corkscrew and 2 rollover loops).
To add to the excitement, you get to listen to Aerosmith’s incredible booming music. If you’re a thrill seeker and music lover, does it get any better than this?!
2025 Update: Please note that this version of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster will be closing in the foreseeable future, as it will be re-themed to The Muppets – leaving behind the Aerosmith storyline. The updated version of this coaster is expected to open in 2026.

2. Slinky Dog Dash
Height Restriction:Â 38in (97cm) +
Highlights:Â Thrill rides, a step above a junior coaster, one of the best Disney World rides at night, small drops
Location:Â Toy Story Land
Get ready for a playful and moderately thrilling ride with Slinky Dog Dash at Disney World!
Join the beloved Slinky Dog from Toy Story on a rollicking adventure through Andy’s backyard.
This is a step up from a junior coaster, but it is nothing like Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster (there are no loops and it is definitely slower). It’s one of the best Hollywood Studios rides and attractions for younger kids who are testing out roller coasters.
This is always a fun attraction, but it is significantly better at night – when Toy Story Land is all lit up!
3. Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance
Height Restriction:Â 40in (102cm) +
Highlights:Â Thrill rides, small drops, immersive, extremely unique
Location:Â Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge
Prepare to be transported to a galaxy far, far away with Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance at Disney World! Join the Resistance in a grand battle against the First Order as you become part of an immersive and action-packed adventure.
This is a complex, unique and kind of strange attraction (and I’m not just saying that because I’m not exactly a Star Wars superfan). This is a huge attraction with multiple ride systems.
Rise of the Resistance is the kind of attraction that sounds very confusing until you ride it. But even after you ride it, it feels like a hazy dream.
Enjoy, and may the force be with you!
4. The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror
Height Restriction:Â 40in (102cm) +
Highlights:Â Thrill ride with HUGE drops
Location:Â Sunset Boulevard
If you dare to enter the Hollywood Tower Hotel, prepare for a spine-chilling journey like no other.
Join a group of brave souls as you board a haunted elevator and ascend to the top floors of this iconic 1939 hotel.
Hold your breath as you plummet into the unknown, and encounter supernatural surprises along the way.
This is basically the Haunted Mansion’s big sister (who is a lot scarier!).

List of Slower Hollywood Studios Rides and Attractions
Hollywood Studios excels at thrill rides. However, they also have a handful of slow rides to offer for the younger guests (or those who don’t want to go to a haunted 1930s hotel or take a limo ride with loops).
1. Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run
Height Restriction:Â 38in (97cm) +
Highlights:Â Becoming part of the ride
Location:Â Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge
Climb aboard the iconic Millennium Falcon and embark on a mission with Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run at Disney World! Join a team of pilots, gunners, and engineers as you take control of the fastest ship in the galaxy.
According to Disney, this is a thrill ride. I beg to differ.
I guess it’s thrilling in the sense that you have control to either succeed or crash. And there’s a constant threat of danger.
But compared to the other “thrilling” rides, this simply isn’t “scary enough” to be part of that category (in my humble opinion). Do you think it should be classed as a thrill ride?
2. Alien Swirling Saucers
Height Restriction:Â 32in (81cm) +
Highlights:Â Spinning
Location:Â Toy Story Land
Blast off on an out-of-this-world adventure on the Alien Swirling Saucers attraction!
Join the adorable aliens from Toy Story on an intergalactic joyride as they swirl and whirl in their flying saucers. But beware, this ride spins. A LOT.
As someone who can’t handle rides that spin too much, I sit this one out. But if you can handle spinning, this is a very cute attraction.
A quick word of advice: don’t get a meal at Woody’s Lunch Box right before riding Alien Swirling Saucers.
3. Mickey & Minnieâs Runaway RailwayÂ
Height Restriction:Â Any height
Highlights:Â 2-and-a-half-D, the only ride at Disney World that features Mickey and Friends!
Location: Hollywood Boulevard
Step into the cartoon world with Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway at Disney World!
This has been described by Imagineers as a “2-and-a-half-D” (which means 3D without the glasses).
This is a truly innovative and immersive attraction, that really makes you feel like you’re part of the action with Mickey and Friends!
This is one of the best Hollywood Studios attractions for the whole family. It’s not too tame or too thrilling. It’s truly the Goldilocks of Hollywood Studios rides and attractions.
4. Star Tours â The Adventures Continue
Height Restriction:Â 40in (102cm) +
Highlights:Â Small drops, almost thrilling
Location: Echo Lake
Embark on an intergalactic voyage with Star Tours: The Adventure Continues! Join C-3PO and R2-D2, as they pilot your Starspeeder 1000 through an exciting journey across the Star Wars galaxy.
With over 70 different mission combinations, every ride is a unique experience filled with iconic characters, epic battles and breathtaking destinations.
This simulator ride may be overshadowed now by Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance and Millenium Falcon: Smugglers Run.
In fact, when I went to Disney World in early September 2019 (just after the opening of Galaxy’s Edge), there was a cast member outside of Star Tours, trying to persuade guests to go on the attraction!
Granted, that was the same time as Hurricane Dorian. But, I never saw this at any other Disney attractions at the same time.
Star Tours is less innovative than the newer Star Wars attractions, but it’s still impressive and fun! (Wow, for someone who doesn’t really like Star Wars, I’m weirdly protective of this ride đ)
5. Toy Story Mania!
Height Restriction:Â Any height
Highlights:Â Spinning (but not much), COMPETITION!
Location:Â Toy Story Land
Step into the playful and whimsical world of Toy Story Mania at Disney World! Join Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and all your favourite Toy Story characters for an interactive and thrilling carnival-style adventure.
Whilst participating in these games, you are competing against the person next to you. Toy Story Mania is practically a more impressive and updated version of Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin at Magic Kingdom. And I’m totally not saying that because I get higher scores on Toy Story Mania … (and even if I don’t, I can pretend that accuracy is the most important score!).
Whether you’re popping balloons or smashing plates, youâre bound to have a blast!
Frequently Asked Questions Related to Hollywood Studios Rides and Attractions
How many rides are at Hollywood Studios?
As of the most recent update of this post in November 2025, there are 9 rides at Hollywood Studios.
This number will increase in the future, especially when Monsters Inc. Land opens at Hollywood Studios (no opening date has been confirmed yet).
What are the best rides at Hollywood Studios?
Of course, this will vary depending on who you ask, but here are some of the most impressive rides you’ll find at Hollywood Studios:
- Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance is the must-do ride in the park, a mix of trackless ride, walk-through sets, and impressive animatronics (with screens, but without them being the main focus) that feels more like you got dropped into a Star Wars movie than a theme park line.
- The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror has some of the best storytelling of any ride at Hollywood Studios (and perhaps Disney World in general). In essence, it’s a ride with sharp drops, but the 1939 Hollywood hotel storyline makes it so much more!
- Rock ânâ Roller Coaster is arguably outdated with its Aerosmith theming (though many nostalgic Disney fans like me may disagree and appreciate its history). But the relatively short coaster is fun – and is the only ride you’ll find at Walt Disney World that goes upside down. Whilst it is less thrilling than the bigger coasters at Universal Studios Orlando (think The Incredible Hulk and Jurassic World: VelociCoaser), it is decently exhilarating, by Disney standards.
- Mickey & Minnieâs Runaway Railway at Hollywood Studios is a trackless dark ride that takes you straight into a chaotic Mickey Mouse cartoon. Whilst this is a screen-based attraction, you don’t have to wear 3D glasses, which is a big win! It feels light, cute, and very kid friendly. Though many fans still miss the old Great Movie Ride that used to live in that same space, thinking this isn’t a worthwhile replacement. Do you agree?
What ride should I do first at Hollywood Studios?
Generally, the more popular rides (i.e. Rise of the Resistance or Slinky Dog Dash) will be best earlier in the day, before they reach their peak wait times.
This is especially ideal if you are staying at an on-site Disney World resort or select others, and have Early Theme Park Entry – meaning you can enter each park 30 minutes before it officially opens each day.
How can you save money when staying on-site at Disney World to get access to Early Theme Park Entry?
If you want Early Theme Park Entry without paying crazy expensive rack rates, you may be best off skipping a standard Disney hotel room and look at renting DVC points instead.
By booking a Disney Vacation Club villa through a broker like David’s Vacation Club Rentals, you stay at a Deluxe or Deluxe Villa resort for less than many Moderate rooms (sometimes even on par with value accommodation).
You still count as an on-site guest, so you get Early Entry, as well as Extended Evening Hours for Deluxe Resort Guests (meaning that twice a week, you will get two extra hours in the parks after closing. This usually happens at Magic Kingdom and Epcot, though occasionally it can be a different park).
You can also save more by picking studios instead of larger villas (studios usually sleep 4 or 5 guests), sharing a room with family, and even using the kitchenette for breakfast instead of buying $15 waffles every morning.
If your goal is to get into the Disney World parks before the crowds while keeping costs sane, renting DVC points is one of the strongest money saving tricks on property.

Where should you purchase Hollywood Studios tickets?
You can purchase Hollywood Studios directly with Disney, or you may get a discount with third-party authorized ticket sellers with companies like Undercover Tourist.
What the Hollywood Studios hours of operation?
Hollywood Studios hours can change season to season, or even day to day.
For the most up to date hours, check the My Disney Experience app.
