Halloween at Disney World isn’t just a kids’ event—it’s fun for adults too.
Just because we’re past the days of trick-or-treating around the neighborhood on October 31st, it doesn’t mean we can’t celebrate at Disney. After all, don’t we all love Disney because we can act like kids again? 😂
Lucky for us, there are plenty of ways for adults to celebrate Halloween at Disney World Florida.
Disney ramps up the spooky fun from August to October/very early November, offering more than your standard pumpkin décor.
Let’s discuss the top 4 Halloween festivities you should not miss at Disney World in 2025.
This post is all about Halloween at Disney World 2025.
Halloween at Disney World
Does Disney World do anything for Halloween?
First things first, does Disney do anything for Halloween?
Yes! Halloween at Disney Florida is no joke (or trick 👻).
Whilst Halloween is less elaborate than Christmas at Disney World, there are some incredible celebrations you won’t want to miss.
So, what does Disney do for Halloween that is ideal for adults?
1) Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party
I couldn’t write this post without mentioning the infamous Disney World Halloween party!
Between August (usually the second Friday of the month) and Halloween (or just after, into the beginning of November), Disney hosts Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom.
These parties are usually on 2-4 ish times per week, so you’ll probably opportunity to go if you’re visiting Disney World for Halloween.
Firstly, here are 2 very important things to note about this party:
- It requires another ticket – You may have a ticket that grants access to Magic Kingdom, but unless you have a ticket specifically for the party, you won’t be able to attend. In 2025, tickets usually cost $119-$229 + tax (with $10 discounts for Annual Passholders and eligible DVC members on select nights in August and September).
- This party is the best known of the Halloween events at Disney World. So you better believe it can sell out! Tickets usually go on sale in early – mid May, so if you’re certain you want to go, purchase tickets as soon as possible!

Besides a solid excuse to wear a costume outside of a dive bar, this ticketed after-hours event is known for high-energy entertainment, rare character encounters, and exclusive Disney World Halloween snacks.
Exclusive Halloween Party Entertainment – Adult-Friendly!
- Mickey’s Boo-To-You Halloween Parade: An infamous Halloween parade at Disney World. Catch the Headless Horseman as well as plenty of beloved Disney characters in their party outfits! The second and final parade of the night is typically less crowded.
- Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular: The Sanderson Sisters from Hocus Pocus gather the most notorious Disney villains for a blast of music and stage effects right in front of Cinderella Castle. It’s campy, corny, and perfect after a themed drink or two.
- Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular: This fireworks and projection show goes way beyond your typical castle finale. With Jack Skellington as host, the storytelling feels less “storybook” and more “late-night Halloween special.” This show is only once (usually at 10pm), so be sure to check it out!
- Trick or Treating: Did someone say free, unlimited candy included with the price of admission?! That’s right – there’s treat stations throughout Magic Kingdom, where you can get candy. You can visit each location as many times as you’d like!
@caffeinebythecastle It’s a great feeling – especially if you get a lot of 3 Musketeers bars! What is your favourite candy to get at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Disney World? 🎃🍭🍫🍬 #disneyworldhalloween #disneyhalloweenparty
- And more!
Essentially, this party is ideal if you’re an adult who’s still too scared to go to Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights (speaking from experience here!).
2) Enjoy the Disney Halloween Decorations
Don’t want to spend hundreds of dollars on Halloween party tickets?
No worries! If you’re already planning on visiting Magic Kingdom at this time of year, you can see the most amazing Disney World Halloween decorations.
Most decorations will be found on Main Street, U.S.A. – with pumpkins and statues everywhere!
The best times to see Disney World Halloween decorations at Magic Kingdom:
- At rope drop – If you’re planning to get to Magic Kingdom early (especially if you’re a hotel guest with Early Theme Park Entry), try to carve out a little time to look at the decorations before rushing off to the rides.
- At night – You have got to see the Mickey pumpkins lit up at night. It is so cozy and adorable!
If you have PhotoPass, make sure to get some spooky photos during your visit.

Sadly, Magic Kingdom is the only park with lots of decorations.
That’s right: Halloween at Disney Parks will definitely vary park to park.
Epcot, Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom don’t really change during the Disney World Halloween season. They usually have Halloween souvenirs in their gift shops though!

3) Savor Halloween Treats and Food Experiences Across the Parks
If food is half the reason you love Disney World, you’re going to love the Halloween-inspired treats served during this season!
Whilst some Disney World Halloween food is exclusive to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, you can also find treats at:
- Disney World parks during regular hours
- Disney World hotels
- Disney Springs
Make sure to do your research before your visit to find the best snacks! Consider creating a list with the snacks you simply have to try!
4) Explore the Disney Shops at Halloween
As time goes on, my souvenir spending has gotten more under control (I guess they call that adulting 😂).
However, there’s nothing better than browsing the Disney shops during Halloween or Christmas – even if you’re on a low or no buy.
The impressive displays are just perfect to get you into the spirit of the season!
Expect to see:
- Limited-edition t-shirts and spirit jerseys, often featuring glowing pumpkins or classic characters in costume
- Halloween-themed Mouse Ears
- Loungefly bags!

- Plush characters dressed up for the season
- Halloween-inspired pins
- Spooky mugs, glow necklaces, and home decor
- Drinks cups and mugs
- And more!
Unsurprisngly, the best shop is usually The Emporium at Magic Kingdom.
But World of Disney at Disney Springs also has a vast display (and no park tickets required here!).
And remember, you can find exclusive Halloween merchandise during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party!

Which is better: Christmas or Halloween at Disney World?

They both have their fair share of parties, decorations, food and more (with Christmas being more “overboard” – in a good way).

It depends when you visit. August and September are generally slower months at Disney World, with crowds ramping up closer to Halloween.
Do they celebrate Halloween at Disney World resorts?
Halloween at Disney World Resorts can be pretty underwhelming.
Most resorts do very little for Halloween, except some Halloween merch in the gift shop(s) and maybe some Halloween-themed Movies Under The Stars films.
