What Are Disney World Halloween Tickets?

There are essentially two types of Disney World Halloween tickets 2025:

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party 2025 tickets 2025 (this party always takes place at Magic Kingdom Park)
Regular Disney World tickets for Magic Kingdom Park, Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park. These parks will have some Halloween offerings (such as snacks and merchandise) during their regular hours.

Do I need a separate ticket for Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party?

Disney World Halloween Party 2025 tickets are special event passes that grant access to select nighttime parties at Magic Kingdom Park between August and October/November.

They’re not just an extra charge slapped onto your day; these tickets stand totally apart from standard admission.

If you want to attend Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, you’ll need to buy this ticket in addition to any regular park ticket you might already have.

Alternatively, if you don’t have any other Disney World tickets or a valid Annual Pass during your visit, you can buy a Halloween party ticket and just visit Magic Kingdom for this event.

Why a Regular Park Ticket Isn’t Enough

It trips up even seasoned Disney fans: a standard ticket, even a pricey park hopper, will not let you stick around after the park closes for the Halloween festivities. If you show up without a party pass, you’ll politely but firmly be shown the exit once the event begins.

Here’s how they differ from regular Disney World park admission:

Exclusive Access: The regular park ticket gets you into Magic Kingdom during normal hours. But on Halloween party nights, Magic Kingdom closes early (usually at 6 PM) to those without party tickets. With a party ticket and wristband, you’re free to stay and enjoy everything from trick-or-treat trails to themed fireworks. With a Halloween party ticket, you can also enter the park a few hours before the party starts (usually at 4 PM).
Limited Capacity: The event-ticket system controls crowds, so you get shorter wait times on rides!
Unique Entertainment: Only party tickets unlock the Halloween parade and fireworks, rare character meet-and-greets, and shows like the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular and more!

At the time of publishing this post, the 2025 Halloween Party dates haven’t been added to the Disney World events calendar for the year.

However, we can look at past years, and assume the Disney World Halloween Party dates 2025 will be similar.

When do Disney World Halloween tickets go on sale?

If you’re looking to get regular Disney World tickets to see the decorations at Magic Kingdom Park, or try the spooky snacks at one of the other parks, you can get these now.

I recommend checking a few sites including, third-party authorized sellers (such as Undercover Tourist) to find the best prices.

If you are a Disney World Annual Passholder, you’ll just need valid park reservations.

However, if you want Halloween party tickets, they will be on sale soon.

When will Disney World Halloween tickets go on sale for the party? Most likely early May (which was the case in 2024).

Do Disney Halloween tickets sell out?

Looking to go to a Halloween party? Be aware that certain party nights (especially at more popular times, like October 31st) can sell out fast.

So if you’re certain you want to attend the party, purchase your tickets as soon as possible!

How much did Disney World tickets cost in 2023 and 2024?

The Disney World Halloween Party ticket prices in 2024 were:

Ages 3-9: $109-$189 + tax

Ages 10+: $119-$199 + tax

Also, the Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party tickets in 2023:

Ages 3-9: $99-$189 + tax

Ages 10+: $109-$199 + tax

Discounts for Disney World Halloween Tickets

Thinking those prices are crazy expensive? Firstly, you’re right.

Don’t get me wrong, the party is amazing (but it definitely comes at a financial cost!).

Whilst Disney World doesn’t offer lots of significant discounts on these party tickets, certain guests may qualify for modest savings.

Usually, discounts are available for Disney World Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club Members, who are eligible for Membership Extras.

In 2024, it was $10 per ticket – but only for events in August and September.

Hopefully, in 2025 the discount will be better and the restrictions less restrictive! 🤞

Refund and Change Policies for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party

This is the section nobody loves, but you should be aware of.

Disney World Halloween Party Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.

If your plans change or someone in your group needs to back out, you can’t just get your money back.

The only wiggle room is Disney’s policy to sometimes let you change your party night—if you get in contact early enough, when there are tickets available for other dates.

The Not-So-Spooky Spectacular fireworks show (which usually happens once at each party, weather permitting. In 2019, I went to the party twice, and one night there was just a projection show, due to high winds, as a result of Hurricane Dorian).
Exclusive Halloween stage show(s) by the castle – usually multiple times a trip.
Attractions that have been altered to make them Halloween-themed – i.e. Space Mountain in the dark or a Halloween version of Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor.
