The hotel greets you with a refined coastal look that nods to a classic New England seaside resort.

The attention to detail is noticeable in the guest rooms and shared spaces alike, from porthole-inspired room design to colourfully-decorated corridors.

It’s the kind of setting that helps you slip into the Disney Bubble more easily, making park days feel a touch more effortless and vacation-like.

2) Prime Location Near the Disney Parks

One of the strongest selling points is the walkability.

Disney claims that Newport Bay is within a comfortable 15 minute stroll to both Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios Park (though if you walk at an average-somewhat fast speed, you could probably be there within 8-10 minutes – depending on the line at security).

And that’s another pro when you’re walking to the parks; You enter another line for security towards Disney Village (with guests from Disney Sequoia Lodge and Disney Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel) – which is usually a lot quicker than the main lines for security.

If you’d rather not walk, the hotel offers a shuttle option that adds a layer of convenience during busy days (Disney claims this takes about 10 minutes, but could vary throughout the day. Generally, if you can to do the walk, it’s more pleasant but it’s great to have both options).

Being so close means breaks from the park are possible throughout the day, often making for a more enjoyable time at Disneyland Paris!

3) Considerably cheaper than Disneyland Hotel & Disney Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel (even though in similar location)

I mentioned earlier that Newport Bay is considered to be the third most “deluxe hotel”. This reflects in the room rates HOWEVER there is almost always a stark difference between Newport Bay and the top two hotels: Disneyland Hotel (Paris) and Disney Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel.

Staying at Disney Newport Bay certainly represents a smarter price-to-value equation compared with the on-site flagship hotels.

You still get the proximity (similar distance to the parks to Hotel New York, though certainly further than the Disneyland Hotel) and the on-site benefits.

For families travelers looking for a great on-site hotel without easily spending £800+ a night (ahem, Disneyland Hotel), Newport Bay Disney hotel is ideal.

Selection of Restaurants & Bars – There’s a few Disney Newport Bay restaurants and bars, including: Captain Quarters (a bar), Cape Cod Buffet Restaurant and Yacht Club (a restaurant)
Nantucket Pool – There are two Disney Newport Bay Club pool options: outdoor AND indoor pools (so you can still swim in the FREEZING months). There is also a jacuzzi.

Fitness Centre – Newport Bay’s gym if you’re motivated to work out before, partway through or after a long park day 😂

2) There’s Still Cheaper On Site Disneyland Paris Hotels with Similar/Same Perks

Disney Newport Bay Club is an excellent on-site option is, it’s not always the best value for everyone. In 2026, there are still a few onsite Disneyland Paris hotels that can snag you most of the same perks (like Early Magic Time and easy park access) at a lower price per night.

For example, you can usually book these Disneyland Paris on-site hotels/resorts for a more reasonable price:

Disney Sequoia Lodge (also in the same area as Disney Newport Bay Club).
Disney Hotel Cheyenne
Disney Santa Fe
Disney Davy Crockett Ranch (please note this resort is not within walking distance of the parks and does not have a shuttle bus to take you to and from the Disneyland parks).

3) A Lesser Version of Disney World’s Beach and Yacht Club Resorts – No Grand Lobby

Despite being designed by the same architect, Robert A. M. Stern, Disney Newport Bay Club is certainly different from the Yacht and Beach Club Resorts.

For example, Newport Bay’s lobby, while clean and on-theme, is smaller and less dramatic. You’ll find a compact, busy check-in area that feels more utilitarian than grand.

Sadly, there’s no grand, sprawling lobby for lounging or people-watching.

If you’ve visited Disney World’s deluxe resorts and love that sense of space and occasion, Newport Bay may feel a little “hotel-like” rather than “resort-like.”

This said, the outside of Newport Bay looks PRETTY similar to Disney’s BoardWalk Inn – a Walt Disney World resort.

4) An Aging Hotel?

Whilst Newport Bay Club is hardly desperate for a refurb (the last one took place in 2016), it is showing signs of age in a couple places.

Mainly, the some (not all) of the hallways could benefit from a little re-decorating (something I noticed during my 2024 stay at Newport Bay Club). This is hardly surprising when you consider how many people are walking (and dragging suitcases) through them each day!

Certain elements of the rooms are showing their age too. I’ve only stayed in a standard room here, but the bathroom for example, looks a little dated.

Disney Newport Bay isn’t exactly a budget pick, but it lands in the “mid-to-deluxe” price range. For many, the appeal is that sweet spot between four-star style and not-quite-flagship pricing.
