How to stay at Disney Resort cheaply
- Book During the Off-Season –Â i.e. Disney doesnât hide its price hikes during busy times. If you can, book your trip for mid-January, early February, or late August to early September for steeper discounts.
- Consider Value Resorts –Â they may not be luxurious, but you can get Disney quality for a decent price. We’ll discuss the least expensive value resorts later in this post.
- Book a Split Stay – You could book a Value Resort for most of your stay, then splurge on one or two nights at a Moderate or Deluxe Resort for a more elevated experience.
- Use Third-Party Discount Sites – Donât stop at Disneyâs website. Third-party sites like Priceline, Expedia and Undercover Tourist sometimes offer cheaper deals on hotel rates. Just watch out for any âno cancellationâ policies. If youâre flexible (and/or find a rate with free cancellation), you can save a bundle.
- Rent Disney Vacation Club (DVC) Points – Disney Vacation Club owners can rent their points to non-members. Sites (such as David’s Vacation Rentals, DVC Rental Store, DVC Shop Rentals and DVC-Rental) connect you with these owners. Renting points can drop deluxe hotel stays to moderate or even value resort prices!

- Ask About Florida Resident or Military Discounts – If you live in Florida or have a military ID, look for special rates. Disney often offers discounts for these groups.
What is the cheapest Disney World Hotel in Each Category?
What are the Value Level Disney Resorts That Will Save You The Most Money?
Disney’s All-Star Resorts – Sports, Music & Movies
Standard 2025 Room Rates at Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort: $133 – $305 per night
Standard 2025 Room Rates at Disney’s All-Star Music Resort: $133 – $305 per night
Standard 2025 Room Rates at Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort: $133 – $305 per night

When Iâm asked about the cheapest way to stay on Disney property, I go straight to the All-Star ResortsâSports, Music, and Movies.
These are Disneyâs value hotels and, honestly, their whole vibe screams âstretch that budget.â
The rooms are basic, nothing fancy, and on the smaller side (260 square feet for a standard room) but clean and perfectly fine if youâre planning to spend most of your time in the parks anyway.
The All-Stars almost always have the lowest prices out of all Disney hotels. The prices are especially great if you book outside of school breaks.
They do fill up with big groupsâlike school-age cheerleaders and sports teamsâso the pool scene can be a little loud chaotic at times.
But for the price, and the free transportation to the parks, itâs hard to complain.
If I want to save the most money and still get those on-property perks (like early park entry), I pick one of the All-Star Resorts every time.
Also, I often choose to stay at one of these resorts on my first night at Disney World before moving to a more expensive hotel, as I know I won’t arrive to Orlando until the late afternoon/evening, so spending lots on a hotel can feel like a waste.
This can be a great way to save a little money, even if you don’t want to spend your entire vacation at an All-Star resort.
But you could spend your entire vacation here, and be perfectly happy.
The theming is over-the-top amazing, the quick service locations have a great selection of food and it’s very family-friendly.

These resorts almost feel like an extension of the parks!
Also, if you’re looking for a family suite (that sleeps up to 6 guests), you can find some relatively inexpensive ones at All-Star Music.

They are a lot cheaper than the family suites at Disney’s Art of Animation. (You could save hundreds each night by opting for All-Star Music’s suites instead).

Disneyâs Coronado Springs Resort
Standard 2025 Room Rates at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort: $260 – $470
Letâs get something straightâmost Disney hotels arenât cheap.
But if you want a solid middle ground between the âIâm camping by a swampâ budget options and the âMickeyâs robbing my bank accountâ deluxe resorts, Coronado Springs usually gives you the best bang for your buck.
I know, some folks overlook this place because itâs a convention hotel, or the more prominent theming you get at other resorts, like Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort.
But here’s the truth: you can often score rooms at Coronado Springs for less than other moderate resorts.
And it’s not uncommon for Disney to offer higher discounts on Coronado Springs than Caribbean Beach or the Port Orleans Resorts.
The rooms were all updated not that long ago, so you get comfy beds, smart storage, and a modern vibe that doesnât feel worn. The food court is decent (and way less chaotic than the value resorts – but more expensive than other Disney Resort food courts, as this it’s operated by another company).
There are plenty of dining and bar locations here, which are great for a more sophisticated adults-only evening (but they’re still good for families).

For a little more, you could spring for a tower room in Gran Destino Tower, which feels fancier without the super high price of the Deluxe resorts.

There are even Club Level rooms and suites at Gran Destino Tower, but if saving money is your primary goal, it probably isn’t worth it to splurge on this.
If the pool matters to you, the Dig Site pool holds its own with a big slide and plenty of space. There’s also 3 leisure pools for a more relaxing experience.
Is it bursting with Disney characters? Not really, but if saving money matters and you want actual comfort, Coronado Springs is the way to go for the moderate level.

Disneyâs Animal Kingdom Lodge
Standard 2025 Room Rates at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge: $506 – $915 per night
Letâs talk deluxe resorts that provide luxury without Grand Floridian prices.
Animal Kingdom Lodge is hands down the sneakiest value in the top-tier Disney lineup. You still get all the stuff people brag aboutâmassive pool, better food, actual balconies or patios.
If you want to spend more (often $150+ per night), you can get a savanna view room.
RELATED POST: Animal Kingdom Lodge Savanna View Rooms/Villas â Overpriced or Worth The Cost?
Alternatively, if you book a standard view room, you can always request a partial savanna view room (which may be obstructed), but this isn’t guaranteed.
Because itâs a bit off the beaten path, Animal Kingdom Lodge prices often drop lower than other deluxe resorts in prime locations.
Also, if you’re considering Club Level, Animal Kingdom has the cheapest deluxe club level option at Disney World.

If you donât mind catching a bus instead of the monorail, Skyliner, boats or walking paths to park(s), you can land a deluxe stay for hundreds less per night.
Donât sleep on it just because itâs not in the âclassicâ location.
Some of the best things about this resort is it’s African theming, and that it feels a million miles away from a theme park!

Which are the Cheapest Walt Disney World Resorts in the Deluxe Disney Vacation Club Category
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas – Jambo House & Kidani Village
2025 & 2026 Point Range for Standard View Deluxe Studios: 10 – 23 points per night (or $230 – $529 if renting DVC points at $23 per point)
Want to stay at Animal Kingdom Lodge without paying hotel side prices?!

Animal Kingdom Villas always come in as one of the most affordable deluxe option, sometimes by several hundred (or thousand) dollars compared to Grand Floridian or the Polynesian for your entire stay.
The catch? You might get a view of a parking lot instead of giraffes unless you pay extra. But even the âvalueâ category rooms offer a decent amount of space and all the perks of a top-tier resort.
(Be aware that the value studios and villas at Jambo House are very limited and difficult to book. Value studios cost 7-17 points per night, so you can see why they get booked up immediately!).
When prices here can be comparable to value and moderate resorts, it’s almost silly to not consider staying at this resort!
Animal Kingdom Villas is due to be refurbished, starting at Kidani Village soon. Jambo House will also be refurbished in 2026.
Disney’s BoardWalk Villas
2025 Point Range for Standard View Deluxe Studios: 9 – 24 points per night ($225 – $600 per night if renting DVC points at $25 per point)
2026 Point Range for Standard View Deluxe Studios: 10 – 24 points per night ($250 – $600 per night if renting DVC points at $25 per point)
If youâre trying to book a deluxe-level Disney resort without emptying your wallet, BoardWalk Villas is an amazing option.
Itâs one of the cheapest DVC (Disney Vacation Club) deluxe resorts, which means you get all the perksâgreat rooms, a killer location, tons of activitiesâfor much less than places like the Grand Floridian or Riviera.
Youâre steps from Epcot and Hollywood Studios, and you score big on value if you book using rented DVC points.
Thereâs also a ton of stuff to do along the BoardWalk itself: restaurants, bars, and entertainment. The best part? You don’t need Disney park tickets for any of this!
The studios and villas have been recently refurbished, and they look *amazing*!

Have you ever checked prices here compared to the big-name deluxe spots? The savings get even better if youâre willing to travel during off-peak times.
The only big downside is that it can be hard to book here. After all, it’s an inexpensive Disney Resort in a prime location at a surprisingly good price.
If you’re renting DVC points, consider making a request at 11 months to have a chance of booking a stay here at such a great price.
Disney’s Old Key West Resort
2025 & 2026 Point Range for Standard View Deluxe Studios: 9 – 26 points per night ($180 – $520 per night if renting DVC points at $20 per point)
Letâs talk about Disneyâs Old Key West Resort because itâs truly a hidden gem if you’re trying to save money.
Old Key West always pops up when folks ask about the cheapest Deluxe options, and thereâs a good reason.
The rooms are on the larger side, whilst the prices are low.
Iâve seen prices dip lower here than pretty much any other DVC Deluxe, especially if you rent points instead of booking straight from Disney.
The vibe is super chill â think palm trees, pastel buildings, and plenty of pools.
Old Key West isnât right next to the parks, so you give up the flashy location. But the trade-off is real money saved.
You *do* get a water taxi to Disney Springs from Old Key West though, so this is certainly a perk.
Old Key West feels less luxurious than BoardWalk and Animal Kingdom, partially due to it being a huge resort and having external hallways.
But it’s also cheaper in most cases if you’re renting points.
If you usually stay in value or moderate resorts, but want deluxe benefits (like Extended Evening Theme Park Hours), then Old Key West is a great option for you.
Pro tip: you can book a preferred studio/villa for the same amount of points as a standard studio/villa. (Though the preferred villas tend to book up quite fast).

Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa
2025 & 2026 Point Range for Standard View Deluxe Studios: 9 – 25 points per night ($180 – $500 per night if renting DVC points at $20 per point)
Disneyâs Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa is known for being similar to Old Key West: similar room rates, similar location (near Disney Springs – a boat ride or walk away), both being huge resorts and similar minimal theming.
I would argue that Saratoga Springs is a touch more luxurious, with a more prominent lobby and stepped-up room decor.

However, Saratoga Springs is even bigger than Old Key West, and you’ll have to pay extra for preferred rooms.
This is an ideal location if walking to Disney Springs is important to you. Depending on where you stay, you can be there within minutes!
Saratoga Springs is known for being the least popular DVC Resort, but since its refurbishment, this reputation just isn’t justified.
(Side note – its bad food reputation *is* justified. But you’re so close to Disney Springs, so that almost makes up for this).
